How to Make
Step 1: Boil and peel the eggs according to the instructions below.
Step 2: Slice the eggs in half lengthwise, so you have 12 halves. Separate the yolks from the whites.
Step 3: Add the yolks, mayonnaise, hot sauce, Dijon mustard kosher salt and cracked black pepper to a bowl. Mix until creamy and smooth.

Ham and Cheese Deviled Eggs
Equipment
- 1 nonstick skillet
- 1 piping bag or Ziplock bad with the corner cut off
Ingredients
- 6 hard boiled eggs, slice in half and separate yolks from whites
- 2.5 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- few shakes tabasco hot sauce
- pinch kosher salt
- few turns cracked black pepper
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 slices black forest ham, cut in half and rolled
Instructions
Boil the Eggs
- Add six eggs to a pot and cover them with water. You’ll want the water to be roughly one inch above the eggs, so they are submerged. Bring to a boil.
- Once the water begins to boil, set your timer. Boil for 10-12 minutes depending on size. Place in cold water once they are cooked through. Peel once they are cool to touch and slice the eggs in half lengthwise, so you have 12 halves. Separate the yolks from the whites.Option to buy pre peeled hard-boiled eggs from the store to save some time.
Make the Filling
- Next, add the yolks, mayonnaise, hot sauce, Dijon mustard kosher salt and cracked black pepper to a bowl. Mix until creamy and smooth.
Pipe the Filling
- Using a piping bag or cut off the corner of a Ziplock bag to pipe the filling to the egg white halves.
Pan Sear the Cheese
- Next, add shredded mozzarella cheese to a plate. Grab the deviled eggs one at a time and gently press them (filling side down) into the shredded mozzarella cheese. The cheese will adhere to the filling.
- Next, heat a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. LIGHTLY spray it with avocado oil spray. Add the deviled eggs cheese side down and sear for 30-45 seconds or until the cheese is golden brown. Carefully, flip the egg and remove it from the pan. Repeat for all eggs.
Assemble
- As a final step, add the rolled black forest ham. You’ll only need a half slice of ham per egg. Roll the ham into a cone shape and place it on the crispy cheese. Top with chives or micro-greens and enjoy!
