How to Make Creamy Marry Me Ditalini Sausage Pasta
Make the Pasta
Boil a pot of water, season it with salt and cook the pasta according to the package. Al dente is best. Drain off the excess water, drizzle with avocado oil and set the pasta aside.
Make the Sauce
Heat a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add the avocado oil. Once the oil is hot, add the mild Italian ground sausage. Sauté the sausage until it’s golden brown, then add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
Next, add the tomato paste and allow it to lightly caramelize in the pan for 2-3 minutes. Season everything with a pinch of kosher salt and a few turns cracked black pepper.
Next, deglaze the pan with chicken broth. Once the broth reduces by half, reduce the heat to medium and add the heavy cream. Stir well. Next, add the grated parmesan cheese. Once the cheese is melted, add the cooked pasta. Toss until everything is well coated in the sauce. Garnish with red pepper flakes and enjoy!
If the sauce gets too thick, add a touch of broth to help loosen it.
Storage
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through. Add a splash of water to the dish when reheating to help reconstitute the sauce. Looking for more recipes? Try my Easy Bruschetta Chicken.

Made to rave reviews from my family tonight! Super easy and delicious! I had a zucchini that was needing to get added, so I added it to the pot with the onions and garlic.
So happy you enjoyed! thanks for the feedback!
I just finished making this. It was so yummy! I added ground beef with the sausage because I needed to use it 🙂 I will definitely make this again. Thank you so much for the great, easy recipe!
This looks and tastes amazing! If I wanted to double the serving size.. would I just increase every ingredient by another half? So instead of 8oz pasta it would 16oz and so forth for the rest?
Thank YOU!!!
yes, exactly!
Definitely making this again! Soooo yummy and fairly simple. I doubled the sausage and used half spicy / half mild, added a little more cheese, and used a different pasta shape! All the same, it was fantastic.
so happy to hear that!! Thank you for the review!
