How to Make One Pan Ground Chicken Sloppy Joe’s
Heat a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Add avocado oil to the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the ground chicken. Break the chicken down into small pieces and season with smoked paprika, cumin, kosher salt, and a few turns of cracked black pepper.
Next, add the diced sweet onion, diced green bell pepper and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions are softened. Next, reduce the heat to medium and add the tomato sauce, ketchup, light brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Mix until well combined.
Once the sauce is well combined, add the whipped cream cheese. Mix until its fully melted into the chicken mixture. Pan fry your favorite bun with butter or olive oil in a pan. Once the bun is well toasted, add the chicken sloppy joe mixture. Enjoy!
Storage
Store any leftover sloppy joe mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through.
