Personally, I served these fries with lime crema and a simple tomato avocado salad. The salad really brightens the dish and tastes amazing with the spices on the fries. I’ve included both the salad recipe and lime crema recipe below. However, only the fries, spices and avocado oil are reflected in the nutritional information. Don’t forget to garnish everything with a touch of chopped green onion and cilantro for some extra flavor.
How To Make Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries
Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
Remove the ends from two medium sized sweet potatoes. Peel and slice the potatoes into ¼-inch fries. Thinner fries will yield crispier fries. Add the fries to a bowl and toss them with avocado oil, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, kosher salt and black pepper. Making sure they are well coated.
Add the fries to your preheated air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket. If you overcrowd the basket, the fries will get soggy versus crispy. You may need to air fry them in batches based on the size of your air fryer.
Air fry the fries for 10-12 minutes, making sure to shake the basket halfway through baking. You may need to add 1 or 2 minutes depending on your preferred crispiness and the type of air fryer you are using.
Storage
Best enjoyed immediately. Option to store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
