How to Store
Extra delicious dip can be stored covered in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three or four days.
Keep it simple and use the same container the cottage cheese came in for storage. Looking for more recipes? Try my Cottage Cheese Taco Dip or my Cottage Cheese Apple Dip.
Pro Tips for Creamy Whipped Cottage Cheese
Different brands hold different amounts of water. This is why I like to use Good Culture 2% cottage cheese. It whips up creamy and thick every single time. However, if you use a different brand and it seems a bit watery, you can always strain it with a cheesecloth before whipping it.
Also, if you opt for lower fat content this might yield a thinner / runnier dip. So keep the fat content and brand in mind when making this recipe.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your Favorite Brand of Cottage Cheese? Hands down, I love using Good Culture Brand. The 2% whips up perfectly every single time.
Why is my Whipped Cottage Cheese runny when blending? Every brand of cottage cheese holds different amounts of moisture. So, if your cottage cheese is very runny, try straining it with a cheesecloth before using it.
Why is my Whipped Cottage Cheese too thick to blend? If you use full fat cottage cheese it might be too thick to blend. Try adding a touch of milk to help thin it out.

have you tried baking this to serve it hot?
i haven’t… LMK if you give it a try!
This is delicious and does not disappoint! I am focusing on eating more produce and protein with each meal so I used this as my protein for lunch with my vegetables. I will make again, but perhaps try with 1 Tablespoon Ranch Seasoning as it seems very salty. Love your IG and website. Will be trying more recipes!
So glad you enjoyed!
My husband and I are trying to eat healthier but still enjoy snacking after putting the baby to bed. THIS is the perfect answer! Love everything about it! I actually just went and picked up 2 more cottage cheese containers to make more. We used Primal Buffalo sauce and it works great!
