Cherry Pepper Spread – You’ll need 1-2 tablespoons of cherry pepper spread for this recipe.

Meats – For this sandwich, you’ll need sliced mortadella, spicy salami, and sliced turkey or ham.

Cheese- Be sure to use sliced provolone for this recipe. It tastes the best.

Vegetables – Shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes work perfectly on this sandwich.

Italian Dressing – Combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, oregano, and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Use on the sandwich.

How to Make the Ultimate Spicy Italian Sandwich

Combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, oregano and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.

Slice and toast two pieces of Italian bread.

Smear cherry pepper spread on one piece of the toasted bread.

Next, add the mortadella, spicy salami and sliced turkey on top of the cherry pepper spread.

Then, add sliced tomatoes followed by shredded lettuce.

Drizzle with Italian dressing and top with provolone cheese.

Place the remaining piece of toast on the top. Slice in half and enjoy.

Extra dressing can be covered and stored in the refrigerator for three to four days.

Best enjoyed immediately. If you have leftover dressing, cover and store it in the refrigerator for three to four days.
