Be sure to use room temperature salted butter when making this recipe. The soft room temperature butter is much easier to work with than cold butter.

You’ll also want to make sure to use Delallo Food’s chopped Calabrian chili peppers. They are spicy and delicious.

Make the Tomato Salad Mixture  

Combine halved or quartered cherry tomatoes, halved pearl mozzarella, very finely diced garlic, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, basil chiffonade, and olive oil in a medium sized mixing bowl. Gently toss until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Make the Calabrian Butter

Combine the room temperature salted butter and chopped Calabrian chili peppers in a food processor. Buzz until well combined. Set aside.

Prepare the French Baguette

Thinly slice one loaf of French baguette. You’ll want each slice to be about 1/2-inch thick. Add a thin layer of Calabrian chili butter to one side of each slice of baguette. You’ll need 12 slices for this recipe.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add the buttered baguette to the hot pan, buttered side down. Sear for 2-3 minutes or until the baguettes are golden brown. Carefully remove the hot baguettes from the pan.
