1cup2% milkor whole milk
3tablespoonslight brown sugar

Instructions
Combine the Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, light brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
Pan Fry the Toast
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the butter and make sure the entire pan is coated.
Quickly dip one piece of the stale bread into the egg mixture. Make sure both sides are coated, and immediately add it to the hot buttered pan. Sear until the toast is golden brown on both sides. About 1-2 minutes per side. Repeat for all the toast. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Best enjoyed immediately. Option to store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through. Option to freeze leftovers as well. Store in an airtight sealable bag with parchment between each pieces of French toast to prevent sticking.
