Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease an 8x8 glass or ceramic baking dish with baking spray. Glass preferred.
In a large mixing bowl, add the cane sugar and vanilla flavor. Stir well.
Next, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sifted powdered sugar. Whisk until well combined.
Next, you’ll add the wet ingredients.
Add 1 large egg, milk and room temperature unsalted butter. Use a hand mixer to combine well.
Pour the batter into your greased glass baking dish.
Bake for 35-37 minutes, until fully cooked through.
