Ultimate Spicy Italian Sandwich

Italian Dressing

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Spicy Italian Sandwich

  • 2 slices Italian bread, toasted
  • 1-2 tablespoons cherry pepper spread
  • 2 slices spicy salami
  • 2 slices mortadella
  • 2 slices shaved turkey
  • 3-4 slices tomato
  • ¼ cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian dressing
  • 1 slice provolone cheese


  • 1 toaster


  • Combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, oregano and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Slice and toast two pieces of Italian bread.
  • Smear cherry pepper spread on one piece of the toasted bread.
  • Add the mortadella, spicy salami and sliced turkey on top of the cherry pepper spread.
  • Then, add sliced tomatoes followed by shredded lettuce.
  • Drizzle with Italian dressing and top with provolone cheese.
  • Place the remaining piece of toast on the top. Slice in half and enjoy.
  • Extra dressing can be covered and stored in the refrigerator for three to four days.
