If there’s anything we love, it’s celebrating food. In honor of the very official holiday, National Toasted Marshmallow Day, we bring you a Toasted Marshmallow & Healthyish Cake Paaaaarty!
Healthyish Foods was born of the idea that sweets, made with good quality ingredients and enjoyed in moderation, can be part of a healthy life. It’s why our ears perk up when we hear there’s such a thing as a National Toasted Marshmallow Day. After all, a life without dessert… let’s not go there, it’s too bleak.
When we discovered SmashMallow, we had all those awkward feels that come with meeting someone, clicking instantly and wanting to be friends. Healthyish is all about changing the way we satisfy our sweets cravings, and SmashMallow, on a similar mission, sought to change a campfire classic- the marshmallow! Quality ingredients, fun flavors, and packaging that truly sends you on a “snackapade”… doesn’t it seem like we should exchange halves of a heart shaped necklace, or at least have a party together?
Our new friendship started to blossom just in time for National Toasted Marshmallow Day, a quirky excuse for a Toasted Marshmallow & Healthyish Cake Paaaarty! Invite your friends, start baking, and let your creativity flow. Between the variety of our cake flavors, our organic toppings and the unique SmashMallow options, each friend can create their own snowflake of a toasted marshmallow dessert. The combinations abound, but just in case you need a little encouragement, we did some experimentation on your behalf.
Toasted Marshmallow & Healthyish Cake Combos:
Healthyish’s Organic Tangy Lemon Cake + Organic Dark Chocolate Frosting + Organic Coconut Flakes (try them toasted too!) + SmashMallow’s Toasted Coconut Pineapple
**Tip: For a toasted marshamallow cake, either whip out your culinary torch (and really impress your friends), or stick your baked cake topped with marshmallows, under the broiler, and watch it closely to prevent burning. Or, if you’re lucky enough to be near a campfire, toast that marshmallow the good, old-fashioned way, then top your cake, and enjoy!
