Serve these tasty taters alongside your favorite protein for the ultimate dinner combo. Just be warned, they won’t last long. You can also wash these tasty taters down with one of my frozen watermelon margaritas!

For this recipe, I use a store-bought hot honey that is infused with chilies AND vinegar. The vinegar adds a layer of flavor that’s hard to resist. The brand is called, Signature Select and it’s very tasty!

Hot Honey Sweet Potatoes – Healthyish Foods

Ingredients Needed for Hot Honey Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes – Use 2-3 large, sweet potatoes. Be sure to wash and then dice them into medium sized cubes. About 1 cubic inch. Option to leave the skin on.

Hot Honey – You’ll need ¼ cup hot honey. Store bought hot honey is fine. Just be sure the one you use has been infused with chilies AND vinegar. The vinegar adds an extra layer of flavor that’s perfect in this recipe.

Unsalted Butter – You’ll need 3 tablespoons unsalted butter for this recipe.

Salt – Add a pinch of salt to the hot honey butter sauce, stir until well combined.

Apple Cider Vinegar – You’ll add a touch of vinegar to cut the butter and honey.

Garnishes – I topped my taters with cracked black pepper and freshly chopped parsley.

How to Make Hot Honey Sweet Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Spray a baking tray with olive oil cooking spray.

Wash the sweet potatoes and cube them. About 1-cubic inch. Option to leave the skin on.

Add them to the prepared baking tray. Gently spray them with olive oil cooking spray.

Place them in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Turn halfway through.

While roasting, grab a small saucepan and add the butter, hot honey, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Mix until well combined and fully melted. Remove from the heat.

Remove the potatoes from the oven.

Drizzle the hot honey butter sauce over everything. Toss until the potatoes as well coated on all sides. Reduce the heat to 350.

Place them back in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until they are fork tender.

Remove them from the oven, plate them and top them with cracked black pepper and freshly chopped parsley.

Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave.
