Roasted to perfection, these hot honey sweet potatoes are guaranteed to be a hit. Made from a few simple ingredients, these hot honey sweet potatoes are the perfect way to spice up your weeknights. Serve these tasty taters alongside your favorite protein for the ultimate dinner combo. Just be warned, they won’t last long. You can also wash these tasty taters down with one of my frozen watermelon margaritas!

For this recipe, I use a store-bought hot honey that is infused with chilies AND vinegar. The vinegar adds a layer of flavor that’s hard to resist. The brand is called, Signature Select and its very tasty!

Ingredients Needed for Hot Honey Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes – Use 2-3 large, sweet potatoes. Be sure to wash and then dice them into larger sized cubes. Option to leave the skin on.

Hot Honey – You’ll need ¼ cup hot honey. Store bought hot honey is fine. Just be sure the one you use has been infused with chilies AND vinegar. The vinegar adds an extra layer of flavor that’s perfect in this recipe.

Butter – You’ll need about ¼ cup or 4 tablespoons butter for this recipe.

Brown Sugar – This recipe calls for a touch of brown sugar for extra flavor.

Salt – Add a pinch of salt to the hot honey butter sauce, stir until well combined.

Garnishes – I topped my taters with cracked black pepper, a few red pepper flakes and freshly chopped parsley.

How to Make Hot Honey Sweet Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Spray a baking tray with olive oil cooking spray.

Wash your sweet potatoes and cube them into larger pieces. Smaller cubes might cook faster.

Add them to the prepared baking tray.

Place them in the oven for 25 minutes.

While roasting, grab a small saucepan and add the butter, hot honey, brown sugar and salt. Mix until well combined and fully melted. Remove from the heat.

Remove the potatoes from the oven they should have a brown sear on one side.

Drizzle the hot honey butter sauce over everything. Toss until the potatoes as well coated on all sides.

Place them back in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until they are fork tender.

Remove them from the oven, plate them and top them with cracked black pepper, red pepper flakes, (for extra spice) and freshly chopped parsley.

Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for three to four days. Reheat in the microwave.
