We’re putting Healthyish pumpkin cake right into our centerpieces for our fall gatherings because is there anything more beautiful than dessert?
Our good friend Trader Joe sells a Pumpkin Spice blend worth buying. It’s only the good stuff- cinnamon, ginger, lemon peel, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom- everything you need to quickly elevate your Very Vanilla Bean Cake Mix to a fall flavored dessert.
Healthyish Pumpkin Spice Cake + Vanilla Bean Frosting
Simply add a few dashes of Pumpkin Spice to your cake mix, bake as normal, top with our Organic Vanilla Bean Frosting and add another dash of that good stuff.
Healthyish Pumpkin Cake + Cream Cheese Frosting
Much like you can substitute applesauce for the butter in the standard Healthyish baking instructions, you can substitute organic pumpkin puree for a lower fat alternative. The pumpkin flavor shines through, and you have yourself a comforting fall dessert with extra fiber, potassium and Vitamin C!
Quick & Easy Cream Cheese Frosting for Healthyish Cakes
We love our Healthyish organic vanilla bean frosting (included in your kit), but when it comes to pumpkin desserts, we start to crave cream cheese frosting (we are dessert people after all!).
Simply top your Healthyish pumpkin cake with a dollop of organic cream cheese, then drizzle with pure maple syrup before serving. For a more blended flavor, whip the maple into the cream cheese before topping your cake.
Healthyish Chocolate Pumpkin Cake + Pumpkin Cream Cheese Frosting
The pumpkin version of our Healthyish vanilla cake is so good on its own, skip the frosting and eat it for breakfast. Or try the pumpkin cream cheese frosting on a chocolate pumpkin cake, then top with organic pecan pieces.
Pumpkin Cake + Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl
Mix your organic Richie Rich Chocolate Cake Mix, substituting pumpkin puree for the butter. Combine 1 Tablespoon organic cream cheese and 1 Tablespoon organic pumpkin puree until smooth. Pour the chocolate batter into the Healthyish baking cup. Top with the cream cheese mixture, then top with Healthyish organic dark chocolate chips. Bake until the cream cheese mixture is firm, about 15-17 minutes.
That’s what we’ve taste tested so far, but we’d love to know how you customize your Healthyish cakes to satisfy your pumpkin cravings. Don’t forget to tag your cake creations on Instagram (#HealthyishFoods).
