Ingredients Needed for Easy Breakfast Tostadas

Tostada – For this recipe, you’ll need one tostada. Two if you decide to double it.

Avocado – You’ll need half of a small or one quarter of a large avocado for this recipe. Be sure to thinly slice it.

Tomato – Slice 3-4 slices of fresh tomato for this recipe. I used a plum tomato, but you can use whatever you have handy.

Egg – You’ll need one or two eggs for this recipe based on size. Whisk the egg well and set it aside.

Cheese- For this recipe, you can use shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese.

Jalapeno – Thinly slice your jalapeno and add it on top of the eggs. Option to remove the veins and seeds for a milder option.

Herbs / Seasoning – Add a pinch of cracked black pepper and freshly chopped cilantro. Option to add extra hot sauce if you like it spicy!

How to Make Easy Breakfast Tostada

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat.

Add the whisked egg. Once it’s cooked halfway add the shredded cheese. Cover and melt.

Assemble the Tostada

Add thinly sliced avocado to the tostada, followed by freshly sliced tomato.

Then, add the cheesy cooked eggs, cracked black pepper, a few slices of fresh jalapeno and fresh cilantro.

Serve hot and enjoy!

  • 1 tostada
  • ¼ avocado, thinly sliced
  • 3-4 slices tomato
  • 1 large egg , or 2 small eggs, whisked
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese, mozzarella or cheddar
  • 4 slices jalapeno, thinly sliced
  • pinch cracked black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon cilantro, fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
