Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Chicken and Broccoli

Chicken – For this recipe, you’ll need one pound or about two chicken breasts. I like using Smart Chicken brand because it is the highest quality. Cube the chicken into even, bite-sized pieces and add it to a large mixing bowl.

Broccoli / Onions – You’ll need 6-8 ounces of broccoli florets for this recipe. You’ll also need to slice an onion into 1/2-inch-thick slices.

Marinade / Brown Sauce – Combine avocado oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, low sodium soy sauce, light brown sugar and water in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Pour HALF of the marinade over the chicken, broccoli and onion. Season with cracked black pepper and toss until well coated. Then, add 1 teaspoon cornstarch and ¼ cup water to the remaining marinade. Mix well. Pour this mixture into a small saucepan and simmer over low heat until the garlic and ginger have softened, and the sauce has thickened to your liking. If the sauce gets too tight add a touch more water. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and broccoli and enjoy hot!
